More charming caketoppers

A while ago I blogged about some bizarre caketoppers that seemed horrible and demeaning to everybody involved. I can't for the life of me imagine any woman choosing to put them on her cake. At least mermice, while definitely, um, random and weird, are a little unusual and probably personal ... as opposed to - well, humiliating. Turns out I was only scratching the surface. There's so much more out there, and most of it available from A Picture Perfect Wedding at prices ranging from $50 to #80. Kinky dominatrix caketopper: Chain gang caketopper:

Nazi groom caketopper:

Groom calls for help caketopper (subtitled: "Look, Ma! I got a man!"):

I'd show you more, but I haven't the heart for it.

So my question: Have you used a caketopper like this, or seen one? Is there a universe in which you'd consider it?

Let me put it this way: the Precious Moments babies make me want to stab my eyes out with a spork, but I would have an all Precious Moments event before I'd consider allowing someone else to buy one of these 'amusing' ones for me and put it on a cake I was going to eat. I'd rather set fire to msyelf.

I just have to say that "nazi groom caketopper" is the BEST CAPTION EVER!!

That is horrid.

i, too, love the Nazi groom caption.

i have never even seen a cake topper at any wedding i have attended. maybe it's regional and not huge in NY? (i've only been to about 12 weddings, though, so maybe that's not enough of a sampling...)

I'd consider using one of those...at a bachelorette party, as a gag. Definitely not at the wedding.

Groom on a leash might work for a BDS&M couple? But that would be quite a nitche market.

I photographed a wedding on 6/18/07 that had the leash topper. It was a fairly elegant wedding too. It appears that the groom brought it home for the bride the day before the wedding and was so pleased with himself that she let him put it out on the cake table (although not on the cake itself).

We're using one on our cake. Some of them are quite funny...Im leaning towards the leash one personally. Hahahaha. You people are so serious. Not everyone wants a traditional, uptight and serious wedding. It is a personal day. It is our day. Our life is full of laughter our wedding will be too. Why on earth would you judge other people any ways??? It not your day??? Do want you want on your own day...and shutup. LOL!

I agree, while some of them are not my personal flavor, I would certainly never tell someone that they have problems because they want to use them. We are also using a humorous topper, just not one shown above. I'm sorry for some of you who feel that everyone must fit into the mold of what you think is acceptable. Open your eyes and enjoy life more, or are you still stuck on what the kids in school said about you when you were little...they got over it and you should too.

It's not that they're light-hearted. It's that they're misogynistic. I want a humorous topper, too, but I actually want mine to be funny.

I actually might get the one on the leash, but I'm in a BDSM relationship and my new husband also happens to be my slave... which a lot of our family is aware of, and which some are blissfully unaware of.

This, of course, makes jokes about him being whipped even funnier. :))

When my parents renewed their vows 5 years ago they had the ball-and-chain cake topper and it was hilarious. I was actually thinking about the dragging the groom one because it pretty much describes us (dating 5 years and just engaged).

I would love the leash one, but that is because I am in aBDSM relationship and my fiance is my slave. We are incorporating small touches of D/s into the wedding. Many of my family is well aware of my style of relationship with my fiance and those that arent wont even get what the things are.

Our wedding is going to be a fully functioning BDSM gala, My fiance' is one of My slaves in My poly household, he is also used as one of My main cuckolds...would love to find a wedding cake topper depicting his station as cuckold.
