Agent dataceptionist submits the following piece of valuable intel: in Australia, you can get personalized beer can holders (
"stubbies" "stubby holders") as your
wedding favor.
I've never been to Australia, but now I've seen these
precious, precious items, I suspect there is a trip in my future.

hahahaha, Gold G.A.W.C. GOLD.
I like your example particularly. : )
That's...um...quite the favor. At least it won't be forgotten, unlike the fourteenth little plastic swan filled with stale Jordan almonds.
(scratches head) Guess it takes all kinds, huh?
Been to australia...and they LOVE their "Crown Lager" in that country "Crownie" for short...so I'd believe that beer holders would be solid gold wedding favors...
i think you can find more brands of beer down in oz than most of the rest of the world combined...(was engaged to an australian for a few years...that didn't pan out, but it made for a few international vacations)
I love beer cozies as a favor! (You say stubbies, I say cozies.) They're useful (keep your beer cold), not breakable (for the suitcase on the way home), and they remind you of the wedding without insisting that they be displayed on your mantel or whatever. They're not limited to Australia--I got one at a wedding in Tennessee. I agree that the "I got pissed" motif is a bit much, though.
Hay Heather!! Where did your fiancee live? I'm a Sydney girl!
He's was from Wollongong, so that's where we spent most of our time - but did a few weeks in Sydney, a few weeks up at the Gold Coast...beautiful places!
So many Westfields!
hahahah Yes I live down the road from a Westfield myself!
Crikey! I swear on a stack of bloody bibles resting on the Pope's chest that those stubby holders are ridgy didge. Any fairdinkum Aussie wedding wouldn't be without them. However, there is an enhancement - a cord around the neck so you don't have to accidentally overheat those icy cold tubes of golden nectar.
It's the current "thing" on the Knot for the only inedible, useful favor they're willing to accept people giving you. Yes. Coozies. Are cool. With the cool kids.
